Our Educational Programs
The Institute for Sexual Awareness was founded in 1979 on the belief that people are entitled to pleasure and satisfaction in their lives. Using communication about sexuality (the most difficult issue to talk about) has allowed people to communicate about everything else in their lives, and honor their sexuality. For many, this is the first opportunity to honor themselves.

 

Concentrating on issues in relationships and sexuality, the Institute has worked successfully with thousands and thousands of people in our workshops, lectures, seminars and in private, directed short term sessions. Our aim is to, as quickly as possible, handle those situations that occasionally trouble couples and/or individuals. Working on the premise that you have the answers and can’t uncover them for yourself; we have the questions that will bring forth your answers.

 

The majority of our work is firmly rooted with the issues found in the general community. We make no judgment regarding lifestyles and have worked successfully with: cross dressers, preorgasmic women, premature ejaculators, advanced–age virgins, swingers, gays, dominant and submissive couples.

In addition to our counseling, consulting, referral service with men and women, therapy and hypnosis to shorten the time in therapy, the Institute offers the following programs to groups around the country as invited by the public or organization:

 

“AN EVENING WITH THE WORLD’S GREATEST LOVER” is a 2 ½ to 3 hour humorous, educational romp into current topics of interest to a specific audience and is never the same. There is a substantial question and answer period before the magic of the evening is revealed. This evening is used as a fun fundraiser for local charities who share in all the profits of the evening. It is often used as an introduction for a community where the Love, Sex and Communication workshop is to be presented in the next 7 – 14 days.

 

“LOVE, SEX, AND COMMUNICATION” is an 18 to 20 hour workshop of experiential exercises that gently moves people to greater awareness and comfort with their sexuality, creating openings in relationships that have previously not been available. Thereby resulting in enhanced communication, greater self understanding and pleasure beyond your imagination. There is no touchy-feely with the exception of some massage communication techniques.

 

“MAN THE NATURAL LOVER” is a one day workshop for MEN ONLY to discover their natural ability as lovers without being bogging down in old beliefs. Results of this workshop have been reported by partners as being sensational in that they have never felt so taken care of after this workshop has been completed by their partners (most of our enrollments in this workshop come at the insistence of their partners).

 

“WHAT DO MEN REALLY WANT” is a one day workshop for WOMEN ONLY which lays bare the truth of who men really are and what they really want in their intimate relationships with women. An intensive one day workshop in attempting the truth about who men are:

• are they different
  
• what does it take to have relationship with a man
  
• will it last and be satisfying
• who’s responsible for educating him to intimate pleasure 
• do men really have feelings, or are they just really little boys.

 

“SENSUALITY IN RELATIONSHIP”

 

It is a COUPLES ONLY weekend retreat for exploring our commitment, communication skills, and values through unique exercises. It is the only program that has nudity, which is voluntary. Generally held in a resort area where a hot tub is available. The workshop begins on Friday night and ends on Sunday in the late afternoon. We do not draw distinction on the make up of the couples. And all are invited.

“COMMUNICATION COURSE” is a one day course which will open up totally new avenues in communication. Having what you want in relationship is possible only if you can ask for it. No one can read your mind. After this workshop you will have what you want or the answer to all your questions. All our work is done in hotel conference rooms where we create a warm home atmosphere. Whether held in a public meeting room or office, or private home we are always welcoming you as our guest into the most comfortable atmosphere we can create.
